The first hole is a par 5 up hill, with a quite a wide fairway, but there is a bunker on the right to be avoided by the bigger hitters. The ideal lay up is to 120 yards before the fairways narrows with trees either side which frames the hole. Your approach shot needs to be accurate to allow the ball to finish on the correct portion of the green as the flag.
